Sensational Haiku Wednesday–The Ace of Cups

The Ace of Cups
A Haiku

You can swim freestyle,
surging through troubled waters,
taking charge of life.

I prefer to float,
gently borne upon a wave,
surrendered to grace.

Submitted to Sensational Haiku Wednesday: http://youknowthatblog.com/  This week’s theme is freestyle. Stop by and enjoy some great poetry a la haiku.

I agree, it’s always better to go with the flow. Nice haiku, and picture too.

  5. Sometimes you float, sometimes you strike out on your own. The trick is to identify when each of those is appropriate 🙂 Well done!

Very meaningful haiku, I find myself floating more often than swimming. Though I am not sure which I prefer.

I think I’m more freestyle but I do believe we all have a little of both. Well done my friend. And we don’t get older. Just better. :). Happy Hallowen.

riding the tide is the only way to go. go with the flow, as they say. and yes, float your way through is the best way to ride the tide.

these are brilliant, insightful pieces, victoria!

I’m much better at floating myself – not a strong swimmer.:) Love your haiku pair!

    “I prefer to float”

I can feel that. The buoyancy that calls.
