Chinese New Year

Brocaded Buddhas
catch a ride
on the hostess’ bodice.
You shave splinters from your chopsticks and
watch the waiter caress pancakes
with plum sauce.

This short poem was previously posted a few weeks ago as part of a Monday Morning Writing Prompt in anticipation of the Chinese New Year which begins February 3, 2011.

That rabbit looks super cute. 🙂

Loved the poem you wrote. your poems say every thing beautifully in the minimum possible word. A thing which is very hard for me to accomplish. 🙂
