SiS’ Daily Haiku Challenge–Shapeshifting

Submitted to SiS’s Daily Haiku Challenge:

today I am horse
surging power trampling fear
carry me onward

just a lowly frog
croaking humble songs of praise
ever mindful love

butterfly woman
eternal transformation
beyond death’s darkness

at last I’m eagle
soaring to mountainous realms
touching the Divine.

  1. I love the addendums to the simple Haiku, that gives the form more depth and makes me appreciate it more…thank you for this great example 🙂

You take on the persona of a different critter in each haiku, each beautifully done. After looking at yours, I took another look at mine; wondering what message I would be sending to a psychologist. Yours are beauty, grace and divinity; mine is savagery. Wonder what that means?
