Banks of Star Jasmine,
intoxicating fragrance
borne on April breeze.

Oh, Queen of the Nile,
dazzling purple blossoms
ready to explode.

Star jasmine in my mother’s back yard…I’m back in high school, sunbathing on the deck, not really in Wisconsin suffering a head cold. Thanks!

long ago when my wife and I were young we spent a weekend at Cape Hatteras. Our hotel had a Jasmine bush outside and that scent to this day remains one of my favorites.
