Forgotten

Two Haiku, two kinds of waves:

Trying to Forget
A Haiku

Waves sweep onto shore,
grasp my memories and flee,
drag them to the depths.

Home from War
A Haiku

The child stood waving.
Who is this man called daddy?
Why is he crying?

Hi Victoria–I like both of these Haiku–but found the one about the man called Daddy especially affecting. Agh. I hate war. Thanks. k.

I wouldn’t mind the waves easing away some of my memories.

the second is a bit heart breaking…
but i am glad he is one of the ones

the good thing about the ocean
is that what it takes it will turn back
    up eventually…somewhere.
