Recipe for Disaster
Before beginning,
gather all your ingredients
as listed in your political platforms.

1.
Divide them into two
unequal parts
then toss them into an iron-clad pot.

2.
Stir to maximum dissension
over a slow heat
then reduce the temperature to a simmer.

3.
As soon as logic has dissolved
empty the contents
into a large bowl
and discard any solution.

4.
Flatten what remains
before submitting
to a vote.

5.
Be sure to scramble
the Mess-age
thoroughly
before serving
to the media and masses.

6.
Recess the senate
and leave it to someone else
to clean up after you.

Linked to dVerse Poetics where we are writing Recipe Poems. Sorry to post one that’s been around before. I tend to eschew political topics, but I don’t think this one is partisan.

  3. This is so true… so much left to do after such campaigns… This makes me concerned to what happens going forward.

Very well done Victoria. Hopefully the politics don’t create a disaster. Hopefully we can all work together to keep it from happening.

This is a step by step never fail recipe, in my opinion. Unfortunately.
I love what you did with “mess-age”. Nice to see you, Victoria. 🙂

Oh boy…your words, though perhaps meaning to be humorous carry way too much actuality. It all just makes me groan when I think of it (politics that is). Well done, Victoria.
