Moon Muse–dVerse OLN

For dVerse OLN, I’m bringing a Quadrille with all the words thus far in the 2nd cycle.

Moon Muse
(a Quadrille with all the words as of 3/2/18)

Full moon murmurs,
“Come.”
My heart leaps. I rise,
her poem burning inside.
She begs,
“Write.”
With a bounce in my step,
I hurry outside.
Last season’s leaves crunch
beneath bare feet.
I find my rock in moon’s brightness,
sit, pen in hand, listening

Yes, we have but to listen.

  2. Well? Lol! I would love to have the moon as a writing partner but it’s always silent to me. However, as a subject I’ve written so much about the moon what would I do without it? Lovely work.

Sometimes it takes that extra bit of mood (moon) setting to get creative juices flowing. Nice.

So smooth and captivating I didn’t realise the hefty restrictions you wrote with. And how true is this about writing — the proactive wait, the leap of faith to pen, the expectation for the unexpectable muse …

  18. Love it…and the thought of listening to the moon is something that I long for… though of course moon makes me think of how cold it is in moon.

How wonderful…The moon says come…This is just how it is exactly. The flow of this poem, like the stars circling in the night sky. And you used all the words. Your poetry is always so…purposeful in it’s flow. I truly love this poem. And your picture…be still my heart.
