Come and join some of your old buddies and meet new friends at http://dversepoets.com/ . You will be treated to fine wine, a glass of bubbly or brew and a blend of the arts. See you there!

A poet after my own heart. I have done many word play poems in the past. This is the closet I have posted online though: http://www.looseleafnotes.com/wp/2007/12/fruit-loops/ I just love the relationships between words.

never say never…smiles…i had such a fun experience with the word hostility once..i was in a seminar and the speaker was talking about hostility and i thought he means hospitality…and the longer he talked..the more i got confused…it just made no sense..until i finally looked up the word..haha
wasn’t it a great opening victoria..i just loved it – good to have you on the team

haha sadly I’ve used a good dozen of those words, but what can one expect from a rhyming loon..haha
This was a fun read, love how you rhymed all the words too. I’m sure there are thousands more you could have used, but that just take to long..haha

Ha, now you’ve done it, Victoria! You’ve sent your obsessive-compulsive colleague on a scavenger hunt through his blog to see if I’ve used any of these words in my relatively few poems.
Answer: Uh-huh! I have. And I’ve already fitted some of those I haven’t with dovetails for when I will use them. Great fun and thoughtful. Thanks, Victoria.

Hmmm, Enigma and Figment are staples for me but you can keep the lamb and the jam as that screams my childhood. Fun and took me a full 60 seconds to realize, you in the end, were lying. Yea… a little slow to poetic humor.

Funny feeling I had while reading these words. I wold not challenge you to use them in one poem, because if I do I will lose for sure.
By the way I believe I used the word “Jag” in my last poem. Thanks for the site, going to join soon.

Ha–I bet I’ve used way too many of those in my verbose way–but some are pretty unlikely. This is clever and slips down like a smooth not too sweet Margarita…your intro got me thinking about beverages–sorry. So glad you’re with us at the new pub. I’d say it’s going to be fun, but it already is.

Victoria, just read the article at OneStop today. So glad to meet you and to be working with you! This piece is a lot of fun. I tried to think if I have ever used them, but I don’t know. Perhaps I did and threw them away, perhaps I did but I forgot, perhaps I will. I’m sure to be using “iamb” in FormForAll. Luke & I will be alternating Thursday/Friday. Come over for a cuppa tea or coffee sometimes! Thanks, Gay

(that’s me, more often than not. I struggle so with that darn meter!!)
Very clever & nicely done.
